Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the urban setting.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of characters who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
As described by the DM, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem unsuited, but the events of episode 3 show why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
First, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The traitor then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each member has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their position as key figures in the powerful family could help the party access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
